Mexican Independence parade

BajaEd and its students participated in the festivities to celebrate Mexican Independence anniversary.

To celebrate the anniversary of Mexican Independence, we participated in the parade.

We invited our scholars and students from the GED and Adult Education programs to join us. We marched down the town’s main street, shouting “¡Viva México!” and “¡Viva BajaEd!”

Along the route, community members watched as our schools marched by. Many waved Mexican flags, and some even dressed up for the occasion.

The parade ended at a local park, where we had a stand to sell food and raise funds for our programs. Mothers of our students helped us cook tamales and pozole. Those attending the celebration enjoyed our food and were glad to support our mission.

This was our third time participating in the parade, and we intend to make it a tradition.

We want our students to become engaged, responsible citizens. Participating in our community is an honor.

We appreciate your support in making this possible. It allows us to give back to our community and its people.
